Declan Rice Set-pieces from dead balls and set-plays caused problems. Enjoyed freedom to drift on the left yet found himself in an offside position as the pass came with a chance to score. Awarded a well-earned break around the 60-minute point. Six

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a high position out wide while also put in defensive duties. Showed moments of class but mishit an effort over. Substituted in the closing stages by Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s best chance of the first half, his strike excellently kept out by the opposing goalkeeper. With Quansah holding position, it fell to him to stretch the play out wide yet his deliveries from the touchline were hit and miss. Substituted with 15 to go. Six

Harry Kane The match-winner scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes at international level. The opener a classic poacher’s finish while the second a superb headed goal following a clever run from his marker. Now 32, his form is unwavering with the national team are strong contenders in future competitions when he's in the team. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact out wide. Had a good opening when set up by the midfielder but the keeper kept it out. Rashford had a greater an impact in his place. Five
