Six Individuals Detained After €12 Million Heist on Gold Refining Lab in the French Republic
A team of six suspects carrying high-powered firearms used explosive devices to breach the security of a gold treatment facility located in Lyon, France, resulting in minor injuries to five workers during what appears to be the newest significant broad daylight robbery to occur in the nation.
The audacious robbery was carried out on Thursday afternoon, with officers swiftly apprehending the suspected perpetrators and securing the stolen items estimated to be worth 12 million euros (10.5 million pounds), officials reported.
Five staff members of Laboratoires Pourquery received light wounds as a result of the detonation, and three employees were transported to hospital for evaluation, the regional prefecture announced. Twenty-eight employees were inside the facility when the perpetrators raided.
