Performer Refutes Anti-Vax Stance After Narrating Disputed Covid Film

Liam Neeson has given his voice to a feature-length documentary that questions the legitimacy of vaccinations and commends former government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Feature's Disputed Foundation

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a popular book published by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the global outbreak for assertions that the virus was a result of a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The book's collaborator, a producer, has previously authored books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. The producer recently posted hailing Neeson's role in the documentary.

A Strong Rebuttal

The team of Neeson have released a comment firmly refuting claims that he subscribes to anti-vax sentiments.

"Many acknowledge that misconduct can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be equated to opposition to vaccines," the response explains. "Liam never has been, and cannot be described as, against vaccines. His extensive work with the global charity underscores his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The statement noted that the actor was not involved in crafting the documentary's messaging and that concerns about its claims are best addressed to the producers.

Major Assertions Featured in the Documentary

In the film, the script provided by Neeson features several provocative statements:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "research has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The film takes aim at pandemic restrictions, saying they caused severe distress that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Regarding the immunizations, it mentions a view that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Background and Current Issues

The film includes a past television report about clinical trials on children, which was subsequently the topic of a BBC apology by the network for editorial breaches.

Last month, RFK Jr instructed the Centers for Disease Control to revise its longstanding position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is repeated in the documentary, even with a fresh analysis from the global health body reiterating no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Record of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the documentary's message, Neeson has formerly shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he described vaccines as "an incredible achievement," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

"Plague of Corruption" ends with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This marks not the end of our narrative. This is the start of a fresh chapter."
